(Reuters) – Walmart Inc’s Flipkart unit is thinking about naming a new leader government officer (CEO) on the group stage in place of Binny Bansal, the Mint day-to-day reported on Monday, mentioning two folks conversant in the subject.

Flipkart Chief Executive Officer Kalyan Krishnamurthy is one of the main applicants for the placement, the newspaper stated, mentioning assets.
Walmart is thinking about each interior and exterior applicants for the placement of group CEO, the document added.
Flipkart may title a new group CEO, in part as a result of co-founder and present group CEO Binny Bansal isn’t actively concerned in day-to-day operations, the paper reported, including that Binny Bansal will stay the chairman of the corporate.
Krishnamurthy was once appointed as Flipkart’s CEO in January 2017.
Walmart obtained about 77 p.c of Flipkart in May, for just about $16 billion in what was once the U.S. retail large’s largest-ever deal and a transfer to tackle arch rival Amazon in a key expansion marketplace.
