  1. Click on those squares bradm73 and it will tell you how much gold are in the spots.

  2. Clicking on a square will highlight a spot outside the map

  3. New update for the game was last night. Im installing it now. 1/10/18.

  4. Lol. I found my self getting excited to see where the fake video game gold was. We are going to be rich.

  5. Brad would you save money by just purchasing the mine first before you purchase tear 3. That way you wont have to pay rent

  6. I wanted to like this game, but the recent decisions to release paid DLC in the current state of the game has made me legitimately question the good intentions of this dev team or the publisher. It's currently a shell of a game, surrounded by repetitive activities to lengthen play time (I don't mind this in a game, but I don't like it when they start adding paid DLC to increase game play in a game with so few as it is.), and its wrapped in a poorly optimized engine.

Now that that's off my chest I can live vicariously through Brad.

  7. Hello brad. It seems that the Gold map isn't randomized and the Gold deposits are the same on all savegames as yours looks identical to when I dug on old Arnold. Anyhow the most densely packed area of gold on old Arnold parcel is around the 261-262 area squares. That whole gulley is a treasure trove. I believe the thickest pay layer is like 75% packed with the same amount of gold. Which is around 2 ounces per square meter. As always look forward to seeing more gold rush content in the future and really enjoy the series.

  8. A couple suggestions to consider is not buying the bulldozer because it simply isn't useful enough to warrant the cost especially now that it takes an equipment spot and purchase the parcel as soon as you can get a loan for it. Rent cost is 30% of the gold mined which is huge in comparison to the 10% interest on the 600k loan. My experience is you can mine around 100 ounces of gold per day on average and the game usually takes about 40 ounces of it in royalties where you can mine for a day and have enough money to pay the interest for the time it takes to pay back the loan.

  9. Can this game be played completely with either an xbox360 or xboxone controller?

  10. You hit the nail on the head. Not a lot of game content aside from dig dig dig, and once you have all the equipment and start sending it from claim to claim, aside from buying all the claims, then what do you do with all the cash? Nothing. So, to "extend the game play", the devs decided to slow players down by making us spend ludicrous amounts of money on stupid things like "item slots". Another thing they plan to do is slow players down with "repairs" which they are painting as game play, but it's nothing more than tedium to add a little bit of content.

A lot of Playway's games (Code Horizon is just a branch of Playway so they could distance themselves from Gold Rush in case it tanked . . ) are famous for rushed development, low grade graphics and/or graphics bugs/problems as well as being extremely weak on actual game content and variety. They specialize in sims, that are either poorly copied from other more successful sims, or they are just regurgitated versions from their other products. Gold Rush is a direct port of the world, the "movable dirt" and even a number of game assets, from Giant Machines, which was also a bug ridden and poorly supported sim with so little content, they made you take batteries and play a stupid mini-game to get them in the machinery and get the voltage right so the machines would start. Batteries that were identical to the ones in Gold Rush.

They did make Car Mechanic Sim though, which is a pretty good sim, IMO. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

  11. I realize you made these a while ago, but my 8 yr old son just found out about the game. I enjoy watching and learning. I haven’t decided if I’m getting this game for him. I haven’t allowed him to have the computer for gaming. I have only allowed his tablet and Xbox 1. Since this isn’t available on those , he will have to continue watching you. He wants this game for his birthday in March and thinks I’ll give him a computer to go with it. Lol

  12. why didn't u sold the last one
