Blockchain startup nChain, related to a person who as soon as proclaimed himself to be Bitcoin’s (BTC) author, has been granted 3 Bitcoin Cash (BCH)-related patents by means of the European Patent Office (EPO), in line with an official statement July 11.
The 3 new patents relate to the improvement of new strategies of virtual rights coverage the use of blockchain era and specify Bitcoin Cash’s blockchain as the usual era on which transactions are demonstrated. The first patent indexed in nChain’s announcement is entitled “A method and system for verifying ownership of a digital asset using a distributed hash table and a peer-to-peer distributed ledger,” whilst the second one two patents are each entitled “A method and system for verifying ownership of a digital asset using a distributed hash table and a peer-to-peer distributed ledger.”
NChain’s Chief Scientist Craig Wright –– who’s infamous for proclaiming himself to be the nameless inventor of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, again in 2016 –– predicted that 2018 could be “the year” for Bitcoin, which he conflates with Bitcoin Cash.
Last fall, Wright, an Australian entrepreneur and laptop scientist, seemingly admitted that he in reality was once now not the author of the highest cryptocurrency.
In February, 2018, Wright was once sued for $five billion –– to atone for allegedly stolen Bitcoin –– by means of the property of David Kleiman. Kleiman was once a pc scientist and cyber-security professional, whom many suspect to were one of the builders at the back of Bitcoin’s invention.
